WB: 12.9.22 Team 2

What a wonderful second week we’ve had. I am super proud of the resiliency, bravery and maturity shown by all the children. They have all settled into Team 2 beautifully. This week we have had a busy week. In English, we have started our new story ‘Troll Swap.’ To begin the week, we explored nouns and how we can add adjectives to them to make them sound better. Towards the end of the week we were creating different adjectives to describe different types of trolls. There were definitely some disgusting trolls!

In math this week, we have been exploring our new unit ‘place value.’ We have been using the different apparatus to support us along with lots of discussion to support us in creating the best strategy to tackle a problem.

On Tuesday, Mrs Caroe joined us for art and we did lots of painting.

In our afternoon learning this week, we have been up to lots of different activities. We have been doing some phonics activities, working on our understanding of the sound ‘ee’ and ‘ea.’ On Wednesday, we had our PE lesson. This was great fun as the children had to work in teams to get from one side of hall to the other, only standing in the hoops! On Thursday, we explored the life of Queen Elizabeth II and created our own memories of the Queen. Finally, we finished Friday off with some science, looking at the seasons and Mouse Mania in our Pyjamas. We’ve had a brilliant week and I’m excited to see you all again on Tuesday.
