Team1 WB 12th May

Date: 16th May 2025 @ 9:50am

Another week has flown by and it has been a bit of a funny one this week. T6 have completed their SATs which meant that our morning timetable changed a little. The children were brilliant adapting to the changes and took it all in their stride.

In Maths, we have moved on from fractions and are now learning numbers to 100. This is something that you could support them with at home. Not only counting up to 100, but understanding the place value of the digits in numbers. For example in the number 56, there are 5 tens which have a value of 50 and 6 ones. -

In English, we are using the Mighty Writer to help retell parts of the story from our current book. We continued to look at adding the suffix -ed to turn verbs into the past tense. We also learnt how to add the suffix - est to adjectives.

In RE, Jasmine (our doll)  visited us again. She told us the 3 things that are special to her and they were the mosque, the Qur'an and Allah. We thought about what or who is special to us and shared these with each other. Family and friends won!

The children are really looking forward to visiting Chester Zoo next Wednesday. Mrs Hulse was a zookeeper for the day on Wednesday and shared some photographs with the children. This got them really excited!

It is the school sleepover tonight - wish us luck!!!!

Have a great weekend.
