Team 5 have had another productive week!

In reading, we have been looking at ‘great openings’ and we have engaged the class with some phenomenal texts. The children have discussed the use of language, authorial techniques to create an atmosphere and also made informed predictions using evidence from the extracts that they have read.

In maths, we have been working on place value with numbers to 100,000, as well as revisiting previous learning through our daily check it’s. We also looked at times tables on Friday and had a go on Times Tables Rockstars.

For English this week we have been learning about Jackie Robinson and this has sparked some great discussion work. The children have planned and written the first part of a non-chronological report about him and we will continue this next week.
