Team 4 Wb 28.4.25
Date: 29th Apr 2025 @ 6:52pm
What another busy week we have had in Team 4!
In our English learning this week, we have been busy writing our very own stories based upon our class text 'When The Giant Stirred'. We planned and then wrote our stories paragraph by paragraph carefully applying the learnt skills from the unit into our work. We wrote up to the part where the volcano was about to blow which the children are very excited to write when we return to school on Tuesday.
In our math's work, we continued our learning about decimals where we learn to convert fractions to decimals of either tenths or hundredths using a given method. This learning was then applied to a range of word problems and real-life scenarios. Our focus times table this week was our 9 times tables. You can support this learning at home by practising this times table with your child.
In our afternoon learning, we continued writing our very own non-chronological report all about volcanoes, in PE we continued learning how to develop our sprinting technique and in myHappymind we continued learning how the brain works and techniques we can use to calm our brains down/regulate our emotions.
Reminders for next week:
Monday - Bank holiday so school is closed
Please ensure that reading records and books are brought into school on Tuesday so they can be checked and swapped. Please ensure that your child has logged five reads in their record for the week gone.
Thursday is our usual PE day. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day.
Mouse Mania on Friday is games on the field so children do not need to bring anything in.
A date for your diary
As our residential approaches, I would like to invite you to come along to a meeting so you can hear all about what your child will be doing whilst we are away. The meeting will be on Monday 12th May at 6pm in the Team 4 classroom.
Have a wonderful weekend all!
