What another busy week we have had in Team 4!
In our English work this week, we were learning how to use subordination to extend ideas in sentences and add additional information to clauses. We used a range of stimulus to help us practise this skill such as watching videos and reading about different animals found in the rainforest.
In our spelling work this week, we were exploring adding the suffixes -il, -un, -im and -dis. You can support this learning at home by practising the following words with your child:
- Illogical
- Unkind
- Disqualify
- Impatient
- Illegal
In our math’s work, we were busy exploring angles. We learnt the difference between a right angle, obtuse angle and an acute angle and then we practised using a range of methods to help us to classify angles in a range of 2D shapes.
In our afternoon learning, we were busy learning all about how to stay safe online in PSHE, in circle time we discussed how to interact with different people we might meet, in history we continued exploring the Iron Age and we also continued practising our times tables.
What is happening this week:
Monday
Please ensure that reading records and books are brought in ready to be checked and swapped. Please ensure that your child has also logged five reads in their record for the week gone.
Thursday
Thursday will be our usual PE day. Please ensure that your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day.
Friday
Mouse Mania this week with Mrs Caroe is toys from home and school IPads.
Have a lovely weekend all!
