Team 3 WB 5.2.24
Date: 8th Feb 2024 @ 8:44am
In Team 3 this week we have been busy with Geography, History, PE, Science, Music, French and our normal English, Reading and Maths.
In English we found out our new class text and unit text... The Big Blue Whale and This Morning I Met a Whale. We think this is going to be our favourite yet because it is full of facts! We spent some time creating letters to David Attenborough and even posted them. Hopefully we will get a response with him answering some of our questions.
In maths we have flown through our unit of volume. We have been learning about the word 'capacity' and gow it links to volume. We will soon be ready for our mid year revision.
In History we explored the stonehenge and discovered its purpose in the Neolithic period. After that we were lucky enough to compare real stone age tools and discuss where we think they would fit on our timeline.
Geography presented us with a challenge of using all our knowledge so far to create a map of the UK. It needed to inlcude the 4 countries, Capital cities, familiar cities, Helsby, the surrounding seas and some coasts. We did it!
Have a lovely weekend :)
