Team 3 WB 4.3.24

Date: 7th Mar 2024 @ 2:03pm

What a lovely week Team 3 have had celebrating books for world book day.

It was great to see all the children dressing up as their favourite character and discussing it with their friends.

In Maths, we are coming to the end of our maths unit on 'money'. We now understand the difference between pounds and pence and can find a total amount using a variety of methods. We have found word problems quite challenging but are working to unpick and highlight key elements within the question before working it out. To support this further at home, it would be beneficial for children to keep using money in context. Our next unit will be representing data.

In Geography we recapped our prior knowledge of continents from Team 2 using a song. This led us to disussing the equator and its position on a map. After that we located the different seas using an atlas and created our own continent map with labels.

In PE we have been focusing on our dodging and passing skills within tag rugby. We are loving this unit and have already started to celebrate our friends progress when catching and aiming the ball.

We have been getting stuck in to our assembly practice and can't wait to show you. Our songs that we have been learning will help us to complete our end ponint in History next week.

Have a lovely weekend :)
