Team 3 WB 2.9.24

What an amazing first week in Team 3! All the children have given a fantastic first impression and settled in brilliantly.

In English we have begun our new English text ‘after the fall’. We have been recapping some of our skills of applying ‘ed’ for past tense, spelling rules and using our phonetic knowledge for unfamiliar words. Using our new song to help us remember verbs, adjectives and adverbs, we were able to select and spelling some complex verbs and incorporate this into our writing.

In Geography we used our prior knowledge of the UK and created a map using play dough. Our focus was on the scale of the UK.

During maths we have been using apparatus to explore the relationship between hundreds, tens and ones. We looked at the value of each number and how the value changed when the number changed columns in our place value chart.

A reminder that our PE day is Wednesday so children need to come into school already dressed in their PE kit.
