Team 3 WB 2.6.25

Date: 4th Jun 2025 @ 6:39pm

Team 3 have had a fantastic first week back after half term. I can’t believe we are heading into our final term!

In English we have been further exploring rivers and the dangers that they face. We have been busy planning a persuasive leaflet for our own forest to help people understand their responsibilities of caring for our environment. We can’t wait to show you!

In maths we are flying with fractions! During our lessons we have used practical apparatus to experiment with equivalent fractions and discovered that we can use our times table knowledge to help us do iy quicker! After that we began comparing different fractions and sound at that the bigger the denominator, the smaller the fraction. This led us to being able to add and subtract fractions.  Within the next week we will be completing our review and moving onto angles.

Based on our learning from our river trip, we completed our local fieldwork right here on our school grounds! We selected 4 different sites and used our quadrants to identify different species. We found that the pond area was the best place for our plants and the woodland was the worst.

In DT we constructed our lanterns and attached our designs. We can’t wait to incorporate a circuit into them so that they light up!

We have been extremely busy learning our song ready to perform at the musical festival on Friday- we can’t wait to show you!

Please ensure all children continue to ready and practice their times tables daily.

Have a lovely weekend
