Team 3 have had a lovely week enjoying some of the sunshine!

In PE we have started learning about the basics of tag ruby. We have been eager to master the technique of passing the ball from one to another, using two hands.

In English, we have continued to learn about rivers. We have used our prior knowledge of commands, adverbs, questions and alliterations to identify them within a text and apply them verbally. We are working on planning a persuasive leaflet and are super excited about our upcoming river trip! We can’t wait to write about it when we get back!

In Math’s we have now finished our money unit and have moved onto pictograms and bar graphs. This will help us during our river trip as we will be using our skills to interpret data that we collect.

In Geography/History we have been exploring maps and have discussed the difference between rural and urban areas. We looked at ordnance survey maps and tried to guess which one was a map of Chester and which one was a map of Manley. Exploring the differences and similarities, we found that tourist attractions and motorways probably weren’t here hundreds of years ago! We explored why 4 figure grid references are important and how to use them on our maps. We can’t wait to start learning about Ancient Egypt!

We have an exciting week coming up that includes our ancient Egypt workshop, as well as our river trip!

Have a lovely weekend.
