Team 3 WB 15.5.23

Date: 18th May 2023 @ 3:34pm

Team 3 have had a lovely week yet again.

In maths, we have begun our new topic of time and have so far explored a.m, p.m, how to tell the time and the 24-hour clock. It is proving to be quite challenging but we are so proud of our resilience and dedication we are showing towards the topic.

If you could be supporting your child with this at home it would be beneficial for their progress within this unit.

In English we are preparing for our end of our unit pieces. We are excited to start writing a persuasive piece for a notice board all about the River Dee. We have been using different adverbs of manner and place, commands and using the present perfect tense.

The glockenspiels came out this week! The classroom was full of music as we learnt all about pitch, musical notes and the worth of crotchets. We wrote a piece of music using a four-part music grid.

In geography we have enjoyed using playdough, cocktail sticks and flags to carefully create a map of the UK, plotting countries, capital cities, coastal areas and local areas. We each wrote a target for how we can improve our maps for next weeks lesson, focusing on the scale of our countries.

Have a lovely weekend.
