Team 3 wb 12.5.25

Team 3 have had yet another busy but exciting week. 

In PE this week we retrieved our knowledge of different throwing tenchniques using under arm, and overarm. We then began to discuss how to jump effectively, linking to videos of the olympics. With our partner we tried to better our jumping skills by using our arms and bent knees to propell our bodies forwards. 

In RE we continued our learning from the Ba'hari faith. We explored the importance of 'The Bab' and drew a picture to symbolise our understanding. Drawing an opened gate meant that The Bab was opening doors and becoming the messenger. 

In English we were fascinated by the glowworms in New Zealand caves- they looked like little glowing spiders! We had a very basci sentence and had to expand it by additing in adverbs, adjectives and subordination. Once we had completed some sentences we added in a preposition and positioned it onto the correct part of our drawn cave to help us with our understanding of prepositions. 

In Maths this week we began our new unit of fractions and we are fabulous at them! We remembered all our prior knowledge of halves and thirds and were able to put that to gooo use. So far we have learnt about tenths and expanded our knowledge of thirds.
