Team 3 WB 11.3.24

Date: 14th Mar 2024 @ 1:31pm

What a busy week for Team 3!

In DT we have been learning about a variety of fish, and how to catch fish sustainably. We created a dish using sustainable sources of fish. Our tuna tarts involved us cutting, mixing and peeling our ingredients. Some of us chose to take it home for our grown ups to try and some of us chose to put our creations in the staffroom.

During our history learning we created our end points to our Stone Age topic. This involved doing a retrival tasks and creating a timeline of the different periods from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. The assembly practice has been well under way and the children are very much looking forward showing you all their songs, dances and history learning.

In maths we have moved on to the unit of representing data. Within this unit we will be looking at bar charts, pictograms and tally charts.

We are coming to the end of our English unit now and are very excited to create our final piece. This week we used the ipads to research different topics reated to whales. This included dangers to whales, their appearance, how they feed and migration. Next week we will use our knowledge to create a persuasive leaflet on how to protect our whales.

Have a lovely weekend :)
