What a fantastic week of Olympic learning

In Team 3, we started the week by learning an Olympic themed poem and throughout the week we used our comprehension skills to discover the meaning of new words, make inferences and identify the main themes. We also looked at the history of the Olympics, discovering where they first took place and investigating the different events and competitions.

Our main focus this week was to investigate our Olympic country which was France. The children researched the climate, geography and culture of the country and also practised their French!

This week was also our poetry recital competition. A huge well done to everyone who wrote or learnt a poem as part of their homework. It was a very tough decision just picking three for the final.

On Friday the children received their school reports. I hope you have enjoyed reading them. I am extremely proud of all Team 3 and I hope that you are too.

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and I shall see you Monday.
