Team 2 WB: 27.2.23

Date: 3rd Mar 2023 @ 3:56pm

In team two this week we have been very busy preparing for our class assembly all about explorers! The children all performed brilliantly and I am so impressed by their determination and enthusiasm to learn all their parts. Our dance to ‘Spaceman’ was so impressive we were even asked to perform it again in our World Book Day assembly on Friday.

In English this week we have begun writing out final piece for ‘The Owl who was afraid of the Dark,’ a fact file all about owls. The children are working really hard and I cannot wait to read their final pieces and hopefully learn lots more about owls.

In Maths this week we have started a new topic all about money. The children have been discussing the differences between the different coins and notes and have worked hard to begin to add different notes together.

In Science this week we have been discussing habitats and why certain animals live in certain habitats. The children used their amazing sorting and classifying skills to decide on where to place a range of animals including a badger, polar bear and even a sloth.

In Geography we have started to think about hot and cold places and where these are on the map. We have started to look at countries on the map and decide whether these would be a hot or cold country. The children used some brilliant vocabulary and I can’t wait to hear what else they know next week.

A big well done to all of team two for a brilliant week!
