Team 1 - W/B 26.2.24

Welcome back Team 1.

We have had an extremely productive week in Team 1 and the children have been amazing!

In English this week, we have started to explore our new text ‘The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth’ The children were shocked to discover that mammoth bones were found on our school field. We explored the bones and used clues to discover the main characters from our book. We have been using the story to help us develop our descriptive writing and we have been writing exclamation sentences.

In maths, we have been continuing to practise our addition and subtraction and we recapped our knowledge of shape. For mastering number, our focus this week was pairs.

In PE, we had our final dance session and everyone worked very hard to show the skills that they have learnt. In art, we have started to look at the work of Pablo Picasso, in particular the cubism movement.
