Team 1 WB 19/5
Date: 22nd May 2025 @ 9:45am
We have finished another half term and what a smashing week it has been. We can't quite believe that we only have one half term left in Team 1. How time has flown!
For those children that stayed for the sleep over last week, we hope they had a fabulous time. They were all absolutely brilliant and were a credit to their families. We hope that the children enjoyed the zoo. We all agreed that it was a truly amazing day and a wonderful way to end the half term. The children loved looking at all the animals and talking about whether they were mammals or not and discussing if they are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Mrs Hulse showed the children the animals that she helped to look after last week on her zookeeper day.
The children will be sent their PE kits home to wash and check over. Please can you ensure they come back the first week back in school. They will also have a poetry letter in their bags. These are just some suggestions for our poetry recital competition. Your child can select one of these to learn off by heart or can learn their own. They will perform to the class the first week back and 2 or 3 winners will be selected to represent T1 in the final the following Thursday morning. All children are expected to learn and perform a poem.
In maths, we have started to tell the time. We have looked at telling time to the hour and to the half hour. We would very mcuh welcome your help with this at home!
We say goodbye to student teacher Miss Nolan who successfuly completed her teaching practice this week. We wish her all the best as she looks for her first job in teaching.
Have a lovely half term.
