T6 wb: 19.5.25

Date: 24th May 2025 @ 12:29pm

In maths this week, we have been revisiting what we have learned, and completing different arithmetic questions across the week.

In English, we started a new book called ‘ A stage full of Shakespeare stories’. We predicted what each story could be about using the pictures as clues, and have discussed what we already know about William Shakespeare.

In Science, we have carried on our topic of electricity. In teams we made circuits and we found out that the higher the voltage, the brighter the light bulb is.

Today, we went to Helsby Quarry to do some field work. We were trying to collect data so that we could answer the question’ How does land use affect water infiltration?’ We saw how quickly different materials (dry soil, gravel and damp soil) would let the water infiltrate into the ground. Afterwards we had lunch and played around the area we were collecting data in. It was really fun!

It's been very exciting in T6 as we have all found out our roles for the production of 'Bugsy Malone'. We have started looking at the script and even learned one of the songs.

Have a lovely half term, everyone
