Reception - WB 9.9.24

Good Afternoon,

Our first full week of school has finished and we have all settled into our school routines further. We have learnt how to put our book bags and coats away by ourselves and can choose our own lunch too.

We have started lots of new activities this week, including Ready Steady Read, which is our phonics sessions that we do every day. We have learnt m,a and s so far and have focused on listening for initial sounds in words. We have also practiced writing these sounds too.

In the afternoon's we have started 'Funky Finger' sessions. We have lots of activities out on the tables that we choose from and complete them singing along to the music. These activities help to strengthen our fingers ready for writing.

We met out buddies this week too, who helped us to settle into school. They helped us at lunch and looked after us on the playground. Our buddy will continue to help us all year.
