What a hot busy week in Reception!

The children have loved getting to know the story of Silly Doggy this week and produced some lovely independent writing about what the characters in the story might say to each other!

Maths has been all about looking for patterns in numbers now our numbers are too big to subitize.  We also introduced 10's frames to help the children see these patterns.

The class caterpillars are getting bigger and we think we have seen some signs of cocoons forming! It is all very exciting!

In preperation for year 1 now the children are being expected to come in, sit in their allocated space, and complete the activity on the table.  So far this has gone really well, with the children enganging in some lovely independent and paired activities.  Well done Reception!
