Reception - WB 6.5.24
Date: 9th May 2024 @ 3:07pm
Good Afternoon,
We've had a short week in school this week after the long bank holiday weekend.
During maths, we have been focusing our learning around simple and complex patterns. We have been learning how to identify different patterns and be able to complete and continue them. Some children have even been creating their own patterns in the classroom during learning time.
Our curriuclum topic this week has been all about growing. We have learnt about different plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit that grow. We have explored the different things needed to grow including water, sun, space and food. We have explored this theme during learning time and have completed lots of activities. We have planted our own seeds to grow lettuce, which we can hopefully eat if we look after our plants wonderfully well.
We have started to read the story 'Silly Doggy' in Literacy. The story book helped us figure out who had been rummaging in our bins and in fact it was a bear!!!! BUT in the story the character Lily thinks it is a doggy. We can't wait to read more!
Have a great weekend,
Mrs Davies
