What an action packed week and what superstars the children have been. We can't believe that we are nearly at the end of this academic year.

In English, the children have been creating some beautiful leaflets to advertise Le Jardin Des Plantes in Paris. They have used persuasive language to entice people there and have added some fabulous illustrations to accompany their writing. They have carefully applied the English skills that they have been taught this year and are proud of their finished work.

In Maths, we have been learning how to calculate the perimeter of a shape. In order to do this accurately the children know that they must use a ruler correctly, ensuring they hold it correctly and start measuring from zero.

Science has seen us complete our findings about the conditions that plants need to grow and thrive. We have learnt that the ideal conditions for this are water and sunlight. Continuing with the topic of light, we also had fun creating and performing a puppet show using the shadow puppets which we created two weeks ago.

On Tuesday, the children enjoyed a day in their new classroom with Mr Lawrie. They have reported back that the day went well and that they are excited for next year. Hopefully any nerves have now subsided and the children can look forward to returning in September. A reminder that children can still only bring a reading folder into school in T4 and this must fit in their tray. On Wednesday afternoon, the whole school enjoyed watchingTeam 6 perform 'Oliver'. It was a wonderful production and hats off to the Team 6 staff and pupils for all their hard work.

Have a great weekend.
