Team 6 - 6.1.20

Date: 10th Jan 2020 @ 6:38pm

Well, Happy New Year! What a great first week back!

Team 6 have cracked straight back on to their learning and have massively impressed with their enthusiasm, work ethic and love of learning this week. Especially as we are all still adapting back to the early get ups!

We've started a new writing unit in English this week using the text 'Can we save the tigers?' Over the week we have discussed how tigers became endangered and wrote list poems based on tigers. We have really been working on developing our retrieval skills in Reading and used this skills to answer questions from our class text.

In Maths we have been continuing with learning about Fractions. This week we have been learning how to add an subtract fractions. We found the word problems and missing box questions especially challenging today and showed great perseverance in tackling these difficult problems.

We also started Geography this week, focusing on learning about climate and weather. We learned about the climate zones across the world and what this meant in terms of the  climate that would be found in that zone.

I hope that Team 6 have a lovely and well deserved weekend.

See you all Monday,

Mrs J
