Team 5 WB 8.5.23

Hello Team 5 families,

Our mornings have looked a bit different this week as we have been in the hall while Year 6 had their SATs. 

This week the children have been learning about poetry. We have been exploring poetic techniques and writing our own poems to express something about ourselves. All of the children will have a chance to perform one of the poems that they wrote in class and one child will be selected to present theirs at the Storyhouse in Chester.

In maths, we have been grappling with decimal numbers and thinking about the connection with fractions. We will be continuing with this again next week.

In geography learning, we created a bar chart to display the results of our fieldwork at Alyn Waters. We spent Thursday afternoon pulling our learning together and presenting it on our books. We were so proud and we even asked Mrs Jobber to come and take a look.
