Team 5  - The Best Week (Written by Kole)

Maths (Fractions):

On Monday, we were doing the workbook for Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers. There were extension tasks that were for finding equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions. Tuesday was the journaling and Wednesday was the workbook for equivalent fractions. On Thursday and Friday we completed a task about comparing fractions that required knowledge from previous lessons.

English (Beowulf):

We were writing our own version of the Anglo-Saxon story, ‘Beowulf.’ On Monday, we were writing Part 3, Paragraph 4. Here’s an extract from mine;

“Asbro greeted them with glee and prepared the greatest feast Phoenix would ever have. The hearth was set aflame, the holy goblet was laid on the table and the townsfolk flooded in.”

Reading:

On Tuesday, we listened to a book called “What Do You Do With A Problem?” and on Wednesday, we did “Wilma Jean The Worry Machine.” It was a rhyming book and showed that there are many ways to stop worries. On Thursday, we read ‘Slug Days’ on the ‘Get Epic!’ app. I thought it would be all sad, but in Chapter 6, I was proven wrong.

Kids’ Mental Health Week:

For Kids’ Mental Health Week we completed some art.
