What another busy week we have had in Team 4!

In our English learning this week, we wrote our very own stories based upon our class text ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne. The children produced some wonderful stories and are very excited to show them to you on Tuesday during the open evening on Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm.

In our SPaG learning, we learnt about the suffix -ture and analysed words that contained this spelling. If you would like to reinforce this learning at home, you can practise the following words:

Creature

Fracture

Moisture

Puncture

In our math’s learning this week, we began our addition and subtraction unit. We learnt how to use the column method to add two three-digit numbers and explored carrying over when a number exceeds ten. We applied this learning to a range of problems including always, sometimes and never problems.

In our afternoon learning, we began learning a range of new drawing techniques in art with Mrs Carroe building on our previous learning, we rehearsed and then performed our class assembly and also went swimming on Thursday afternoon.
