What another busy week in Team 4!

In our English learning this week, we continued reading our class book ‘Escape From Pompeii’. We learnt about the forum in Roman society and how it was the hub for a town/city. We then explored what the main character Tranio did in a usual day. After that, we learnt that he and his friend Liv went to watch his dad perform at the local theatre when disaster struck! A tremor hit the town. We ended by writing a diary entry about how Tranio was feeling at this moment.

In maths, we continued exploring fractions. We learnt how we could place fractions on a blank number line, we learnt how to also find equivalent fractions as well as simplify given ones as well. We then applied this learning to a range of word problems.

In our afternoon learning, we continued designing our goggles in DT with Mrs Coman-Jones, in music we learnt how to play a number of chords and play them to a new song with Jay, we completed our times table challenge in maths and we also learnt how the Roman army have impacted the modern army in the Western World.
