Team 4 Wb 18.10.21

Date: 23rd Oct 2021 @ 6:17pm

What a busy final week we have had in Team 4!

In our English learning this week, we developed our inference skills exploring how Hannah was feeling at different points in our class text ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne. We also practised using speech to create dialogue between characters experimenting with different punctuation and verbs.

In our spelling learning this week, we learnt how to add the suffix -lay to an adjective to change it to an adverb (for example helpful becomes helpfully). If you would like to support this learning at home, you can practise the following spellings:

Helpfully

Gently

Quickly

Excitedly

Carefully

Nicely

In our maths, we learnt how to count in steps of 25 both forwards and backwards from any given number and also began learning about negative numbers.

In our afternoon learning, we completed our final swimming lesson of this half term, in art we finished putting the final touches to our gorilla paintings and also in our geography learning we tried to find other countries around the world that gorillas could live in that have the correct environment for them to survive.

What a busy half term. Have a well earned rest Team 4 and I look forward to seeing you a week on Tuesday.

Mr Lawrie
