Team 3 WB 19th June

Date: 20th Jun 2023 @ 8:15pm

Wow! The chidlren have blown us away with their hard work, determination and resilience. They may have come home and mentioned that they have been doing tests this week because our end of year assessments have been taking place. They have been fabulous and we are delighted with their attitude and aptitude. It's wonderful to see the progress they have made over this academic year. We hope you can also see just how much your child has learned.

In addition to the tests, we have completed some geography fieldwork around the school grounds using Ordnance Survey Maps. Our findings were recorded in a table and presented in a bar chart. In PSHE, we have been learning about body differences and why private parts are private. To celebrate Gypsy, Roma and Traveller month, we have created a pattern using watercolours to represent ourselves. In My Happy Mind, we have been discussing what family is and who the people are who are important to us. In RE, we have started to learn all about the Sikh religion and in particular, why community is so important to them.

Well done to Edward and Isabelle who represented Team 3 in the poetry recital assembly on Thursday. Both children put a lot of effort in at home to select challenging poems and to memorise them. It was heart-warming to see how proud the class were of their performances.

We finished our week off rather energetically with a diamond cricket tournament. The children had the opportunity to bat and field in our mini competition with Team 4. Many children were very enthusiastic about the game and commented that they might like to join a local cricket club so be warned!!

Have a great weekend.

From Team 3 staff.
