Team 1 WB 14.2.22

Date: 18th Feb 2022 @ 3:27pm

We began our week with a lovely Valentine’s Day. On Monday, the children continued their artwork based on Pablo Picasso.

On Tuesday we loved seeing the children enjoying the Valentine's disco. They have some great moves!

In English this week we wrote our final diary entries from the point of view of Nibbles the Book Monster. The children absolutely blew us away with their writing this week. They used all of the skills we have been learning over the half term in their final write and we are so proud of them!

In maths we have been learning subtraction by counting back on a number line, moving onto more abstract methods.

In PE we completed our dance, ‘growing’, by putting together our original dance, adding the motif of planting the seed. We also added a turn, balance and a jump to our final dance.

In our circle time this week we learned about ‘safer strangers’ who we could go to if we were lost and could not find our adult. Those people might be wearing a uniform or a badge. We also talked about safer buildings to go to if we are lost, such as schools, shops, and police stations.

We finished our week with a fun Mouse Mania, where we paired up with a reception buddy and shared some time on the ipads. We were also treated to a reading assembly hosted by the Team 6 reading champions.

Have a wonderful half term, superstars, and stay safe in this weather!

Mrs Weeks, Mrs Butters and Miss Evans.
