During the week we have shared our class story "The lion inside" in English. This is a story about a small mouse who is feeling left out and forgotten. he plucks up the courage to ask a mighty Lion how he can become more like him.

We were all very shocked to found out the lion was only mighty on the outside and was in fact scared of mice! This led us to discuss how the mouse might look small and weak but he has a heart as brave as a lion.

We then created a recount as if we were the mouse and are using some amazing words that end with -ed.

Maybe you and your child could have a go at -ed words at home (jumped, rested, hissed, soaked)

I am so impressed with our learning in Maths, we have looked at numbers on a number line, counting forwards and backwards and working out the missing numbers.

If you get chance to practice writing these numbers, it would be a great way to support your child's learning.

e.g. 15- We would write the 1 first then the 5.

We would say "there is 1 ten and 5 ones"

Have a fantastic weekend and We look forward to seeing you next week.
