Team 1 - Wb 27.2.17

Good Afternoon,

Team 1 have had an excellent first week back after Half Term and are straight back into their learning! 

This week has been Superheroes vs Villians week in school and all of our learning has been linked to this theme.

In English we have been describing our favourite superheros and villians. We visited Thor's hammer, which landed on the school field and created our own superheros, who's superpower would be to  lift the hammer just like Thor. 

In maths we have been comparing and measuring the heights and lengths of different superheros. We even turned into a class of superheroes who were set a challenge to put themselves in order from shortest to tallest. We decided upon the best ways to do this by working as a team.

On Thursday was World Book Day and we all came to school dressed as our favourite book characters. It was so lovely to see so many children dressed up to celebrate! Throughout the day we took part in a school parade, listened to one of our favourite stories being read by our teachers and completed lots of activities around the story 'Stuck' By Oliver Jeffers.
