Team 1 - WB 16.10.17

Date: 20th Oct 2017 @ 3:51pm

Good Afternoon,

In English this week we have been planning and writing our very own hot tasks. A hot task is a piece of writing children complete at the end of an English unit to demonstrate what they learnt and what they can write independently. All children have put a lot of effort into writing their own stories and they are full of some very imaginative characters!

In Maths we have been comparing numbers up to 10 this week using the maths terms greater than, fewer than, equal to, most and least. We have used the counters and Numicon to support our understanding and complete different star challenges in our maths books.

During our afternoon learning we have completed our first science investigation, where we were trying to find out if the wolf would be able to blow away certain objects made from everyday materials. We have also been making clay pigs with Mrs Anderson in art.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Remember lots of reading over the weekend too; who's going to be the reading champion next week!!

P.S Mousemania next Thursday is our special half term treat. We will be making a fire and toasting marshmellows - yum yum!!
