Team 2 WB: 7.11.22

Date: 11th Nov 2022 @ 2:42pm

We’ve made it to the end of another week in Team 2. I have once again been blown away by the resilience, effort and hard work Team 2 have shown, especially in their writing. For our writing this week, we have been writing a letter to Tabitha’s Grandma to tell her about all the naughty and horrible things Tabitha has been up to! First, we created a plan and then we started our writing. The skills and creativity the children have shown in their writing is fantastic, I am so proud of it. In math this week, we have continued to develop our understanding of subtraction, especially how to rename our tens for ones. This is a concept the children have found quite tricky, but they have shown great determination and resilience in completing this!

On Tuesday, Mrs Caroe joined us for art and we completed some more fun Troll Swap activities. We made Timothy’s cave and a jumping Tabitha, springing from a box! In Science this week, we used the Ipads to research different facts about William Addis- the inventor of the toothbrush. We focused on the design on the toothbrush and how the materials have changed over time. In Geography this week, we strengthened our understanding of the United Kingdom. We used the Atlas to explore the four countries and we tried to locate Helsby. In PE, we started to develop our understanding of team work by looking at the roles of attacking and defending. We had to work together defend our team’s beanbags as well as attacker the other team and ‘steal’ the opposite team. To finish off another week, we had a pyjama party for Mouse Mania. Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you all on Monday!
